Presents!

And then it was time for gifts. Let's just say, I made out like a bandit. Thank you so much everyone who attended my party, and everyone else who has given me a gift or a card! I love you all so much, and it is great to be 3!

Cupcakes?

Okay, well, I haven't eaten much of either of my other birthday cakes, but I did have almost a whole cupcake at my friend Maggie's party a few weeks back. So, Mommy and Daddy thought I might want cupcakes for MY birthday. Well, I tried one. But that was it.

My Favorite Song

Was there a low point during my party? Yes, unfortunately. For some reason I get all freaked out whenever anybody sings the Happy Birthday song. So, I did again. But, I eventually blew out my candle!

Party Outside!

Well, although the day started out pretty overcast and dreary, about half and hour into my party, the sun came out and made a beautiful day for people to enjoy outside also! I got to go out and play with all my friends! Lots and lots of fun in the sun!

Party On!

Some more pictures of my fabulous party guests!

Party Time!

This Saturday, the 18th, was my birthday party. It was off the hook. We had a Backyardigans-Luau themed party, so everyone got leis. We also had Sliders--mini burgers and hotdogs from daddy's new barbecue. There were tons of people, and lots of kids for me to play with.

MY TRICYCLE!!!!!!

Okay, check it out! Mommy and Daddy got me a TRICYCLE for my birthday! It's a retro-red Radio Flyer, and it is one fly ride. I also got a helmet and bell set featuring the Disney Princesses. I love it so much, it has become instant behavior leverage for Mommy and Daddy: if I don't behave myself, I don't get to ride it. Guess who's been a pretty good girl lately?

A Rose for Bailey

Okay, we've got tons of roses in our yard. We have to prune them like all the time. Here is one, tucked way over in the corner of our back yard by the shed, that bloomed in an almost perfect circle.

Birthday Orneriness

Along with my advanced age has come an unfortunate side-effect: advancing attitude. If these pictures don't prove that, check out the video below:

Can't you just hear the patience in Daddy's voice, and in the loving way he knocks me on my behind?

Birthday Morning!

Here I am on the morning of my third birthday! I was pretty excited about the whole thing--so excited, in fact, that I had some trouble holding still for pictures. The first words out of my mouth when I got to the living room was "Where's my birthday?" because none of my party decorations were up yet. Mom and Dad had to explain to me that my party wasn't until Saturday.

Daddy's Shameless Plug

Okay, Daddy asked me to let everyone know about a book he wrote. It was for a competition last November called National Novel Writing Month, where you have to write 50,000 words in 30 days from start to finish. The prize for doing so was a free proof copy of the book in paperback form from an Amazon-related site called CreateSpace. So, if anyone wants to get a copy of Daddy's first published book, here is the link:

Ice Cream Cones!

After we stayed with Grandpa Tom, I got to stay the night at Grandma Lynnette and Papa Steve's. It was only my second night away from Mommy and Daddy ever, but I had TONS of fun there too. When I got back, after I rested up from staying up late TWO nights in a row, we had Ice Cream Cones! Yay Summer!

Grandpa and Cats

I had lots of fun at Grandpa Tom's house. And I love his cats, Orange and Crate--though I thought my daddy called one of them "Alice the Great" when we first got there.

4th of July

This year for the 4th of July we went to stay with Grandpa Tom at Maryhill Museum. They were having a laser light show instead of fireworks, and it was pretty cool, but very windy. I got to stay up REALLY late to watch the laser show, and then we walked around and fed the peacocks in the morning! It was very fun. Happy Fourth of July!
